Personal Statement
Draft some answers to the following questions. This is the start of a working document that you will refine over the year. Remember to be truthful, relevant and positive. A successful personal statement is a combination of head and heart.

Name
Ryan Greenhalgh

What is/are your dream job(s)?
What do you have to do to start working in that industry?
I would like to work towards the art style of the industry and work in the team of artists that make all the skins for the assets.
My favourite type of art style is pixel art, I love this style because I have a big interest in retro gaming, and ever since I played my first Nintendo 64 game I fell in love with the retro old art style.
I have a big passion for design and creating designs for players, I currently play MMO games the most because they have a lot of customising involved with game, for the way your player/character looks.

What skills do you possess now?
Don’t list your qualifications as they are on you CV. Talk about what you did within those subjects that you’re good at and enjoyed.
The skills I have obtained through the life of education is I’m able to work with anyone, this is because I have good people skills and I’m not afraid to talk to anyone, I have obtained this through drama from year 8 of High School. This is from all the group work I’ve done as well.
An extra skill I have is that I’m able to come up with things spontaneous, in my eyes this is a good to have in the industry of gaming or anything that needs an idea to be generated.

Have you carried out any work experience or voluntary work?
Don’t list your qualifications as they are on you CV. Talk about what you did within those subjects that you’re good at and enjoyed.
I have only done one week of work experience and in that week of working I developed my people skills and learnt a lot more about the working life of the industry, more experience was in my high school, with this I was and IT tech and I did what they would do with fixing all the technical problems of the school from that dya.

What personal interests and hobbies do you have or have had in the past?
Reading
Films
Music – both playing and listening to.
Socialising
Sports
Pets
Travel
Stamp collecting
However uninteresting you may think your interests are, even if you’ve not taken them very far, put them down.
A little bit about myself now and what I like to do in my spare time, these things would involve multiple things from simple gaming with online friends in games that I’m very fond of and that I really enjoy playing.
With my games I like to play all games I can’t say I’ve played every genre of game but the ones I like the most are MMO,FPS and Driving games, the aspects of these games that I mainly like is the being to customise things from character, guns, vehicles and anything that I can change to make specific to me.

Away from the “lazy” hobbies and personal interest, the other hobbies I was really enjoying and I always did before I took a control and played some games.
This was parkour/ free running, these being two different types of styles in the bases of parkour.
Parkour; strict and based movement to fit a main way of getting around.
Free-running; a more free to do what you want style.
I preferred free-running because it was my way of showing my creativity in movement and style and being able to show passion in something that is dangerous unless done and practiced.
Free-running takes more to do because it has more passion and more creativity you need a right mind set to be able to perform tricks that you have seen or are thinking of doing, you need to know what to do and how.
These where the two hobbies I enjoyed doing most and took most of my free time to do.
